Truck and driver safety on one screen

Engine health, hours, safety scores, harsh events and document expiries in a single roster, fed by the ELD you already have.

The problem

Safety data is spread over three dashboards and none of them shows the truck and the driver together.

What the rule says

What the regulation requires

An accident is an occurrence involving a commercial motor vehicle on a highway that results in a fatality, in bodily injury to a person who immediately receives medical treatment away from the scene, or in one or more vehicles incurring disabling damage that requires it to be towed away.
49 CFR 390.5 — Definition of “accident” (2024 CFR)
It is not an accident if the occurrence involved only boarding or alighting from a stationary motor vehicle, or only the loading or unloading of cargo.
49 CFR 390.5 — What the definition excludes (2024 CFR)
A motor carrier must maintain an accident register for 3 years after the date of each accident.
49 CFR 390.15(b) — Accident register (2024 CFR)
Each entry must carry the date of the accident, the city or town where it happened or the nearest one and the State, the driver's name, the number of injuries, the number of fatalities, and whether hazardous materials other than fuel spilled from the vehicle's own fuel tanks were released.
49 CFR 390.15(b)(1) — Required register contents (2024 CFR)
The register must also hold copies of all accident reports required by State or other governmental entities or by insurers.
49 CFR 390.15(b)(2) — Reports kept with the register (2024 CFR)
A carrier must give an authorised representative all reasonable assistance in the investigation of any accident, including a full, true and correct response to any question of the inquiry.
49 CFR 390.15(a) — Assistance in investigations (2024 CFR)

Common questions

What problem does this solve?

Safety data is spread over three dashboards and none of them shows the truck and the driver together.

How does TEZIFY handle it?

One roster with both. Fault codes in plain English, expiries, hours and events in the same grid, plus a ranked list of what to handle today.

What counts as a DOT recordable accident?

One that results in a fatality, in bodily injury where the person immediately receives medical treatment away from the scene, or in disabling damage that requires a vehicle to be towed away. An occurrence involving only boarding or alighting from a stationary vehicle, or only loading or unloading cargo, does not count.

What has to be in a carrier's accident register?

For each accident: the date, the city or town where it happened or the nearest one and the State, the driver's name, the number of injuries, the number of fatalities, and whether hazardous materials other than fuel from the vehicle's own tanks were released. Copies of accident reports required by State or other governmental entities or by insurers are kept with it.

How long is an accident register kept?

For 3 years after the date of each accident.

Is this an add-on, or included?

Included in every paid plan rather than sold separately, and available on the free tier for up to three trucks.

How much does TEZIFY cost?

Free for up to 3 trucks, then $19 per truck per month. Every module is included in every paid plan — nothing is held back as an upsell.

Do I pay for each person who logs in?

No. Pricing is per truck, so dispatchers, accountants, safety managers and mechanics all get their own login at no extra cost.
