Feature
IFTA without the quarterly scramble
Fuel and mileage captured as it happens through the driver app and your fuel cards, ready when the quarter closes.

The problem
Every quarter someone reconstructs fuel receipts and state miles from a shoebox and a spreadsheet.

- Records kept per unit and per quarter
What the rule says
What the regulation requires
- IFTA returns are filed quarterly and are due on the last day of the month after the quarter closes: 30 April, 31 July, 31 October and 31 January.
- New York State Department of Taxation and Finance — Fuel use tax / IFTA
- A qualified motor vehicle is a power unit with two axles and a gross or registered gross weight over 26,000 lb (11,797 kg), or one with three or more axles regardless of weight, or any combination whose total weight is over 26,000 lb.
- New York State Department of Taxation and Finance — Fuel use tax / IFTA
- Records supporting a quarterly return must be kept for four years from the return's due date or its filing date, whichever is later — and a demand for audit extends that until the records are produced.
- IFTA, Inc. — Procedures Manual, P510 Retention and Availability of Records

Common questions
What problem does this solve?
- Every quarter someone reconstructs fuel receipts and state miles from a shoebox and a spreadsheet.
How does TEZIFY handle it?
- Fuel purchases logged in the driver app and pulled from fuel cards, with miles captured from the loads as they run.
When is the IFTA return due?
- Quarterly, on the last day of the month after the quarter closes: 30 April, 31 July, 31 October and 31 January.
Which trucks does IFTA apply to?
- A qualified motor vehicle: a power unit with two axles over 26,000 lb gross or registered gross weight, one with three or more axles at any weight, or a combination over 26,000 lb.
How long do IFTA records have to be kept?
- Four years from the return's due date or filing date, whichever is later. If the records are demanded for an audit, that period runs until they are produced.
Is this an add-on, or included?
- Included in every paid plan rather than sold separately, and available on the free tier for up to three trucks.
How much does TEZIFY cost?
- Free for up to 3 trucks, then $19 per truck per month. Every module is included in every paid plan — nothing is held back as an upsell.
Do I pay for each person who logs in?
- No. Pricing is per truck, so dispatchers, accountants, safety managers and mechanics all get their own login at no extra cost.
